This blog.

By definition, this blog will never be finished since I am perpetually escapading. So far, 3/4 of China is done (a work in progress...), but now I'm in Mo'orea and will be attempting to finish Mo'orea first since it's only a month, not almost a year. But with super limited internet, this isn't going to be lightning fast (surprise!).

Cheers!

The Bird's Nest

Beijing Olympic Park.  Larger than life.
Complete with multiple high quality McDonald's ice creams.  Despite the cold.

The Water Cube.  (to be explored at a later date.....)
Notice the building in the background though.  It's actually a dragon (kind of hard to tell by the picture) with the highest part on the left (with kites flying by it) as the head.  The subsequent buildings behind it are its snaking body.

Crazy light fixtures everywhere.

Guy selling an absurd amount of kites.  Quite typical.

The Bird's Nest!

Peace sign.

Double-mittened peace signs.  So cold.

Actually quite impressive.

And the lights begin to turn on as the "sun" sets....

Emma diving into the Water Cube.

Me cannonballing into the Water Cube.

Yet another adorable little Chinese kid.  Please note the matching hoodie and back pocket.  Which matched multiple Hello Kitty pockets on the front of her jacket.

Horribly blurry, but captures just a little bit of our excitement.  I am pretty sure I was taking this photo of Emma while trying to actually sneak a photo of someone else.  Probably that cute girl in the previous photo.

There is no such thing as too much blue.

Incredible at night.  But really cold.

Mad, please note the lion latte art.  It has your name all over it.

Leave it to China to find a way to make fake eggs.  And this "fried egg" (on top, kinda hard to see) was most certainly one of them.  Basically looked and tasted like plastic.  It's China!

Some sort of training for speed skating.  Quite intense.

One of the stalls right outside my metro stop.  The fruit guys always made a point of over enthusiastically  practicing their two English words, "HELLO!" and "ENGLISH!" whenever I passed by.

The best street food ever.  Ever.  Ever.
Basically it's a pan fried pancake egg thing made into a little taco with lettuce and a spicy sauce.  Do not get the mystery meat.

Might I reiterate.  The best street food ever.
