Meet Elizabeth, my wonderful Beijing roomie!
...and our very first meal in our apartment consisting of a bowl of instant oatmeal sent over from the US. And yes, that is how we boil water, even now.
Our first homecooked meal: a variety of sauteed veggies, some edible thing from the grocery store, and Tsingtao.... which we found out very quickly was actually fake.
A glimpse of our living room before our extreme home makeover (it looks quite tame here).... more to come about our adventures in the apartment, bonding through adversity...
