This blog.

By definition, this blog will never be finished since I am perpetually escapading. So far, 3/4 of China is done (a work in progress...), but now I'm in Mo'orea and will be attempting to finish Mo'orea first since it's only a month, not almost a year. But with super limited internet, this isn't going to be lightning fast (surprise!).

Cheers!

South Korea: 환영합니다!

So after we boarded the plane to go to Seoul, we were told the flight was delayed and please unboard the plane.  After a very long time of waiting and the Chinese people coming uncomfortably close to rioting, they finally cancelled the flight (but since it was in Chinese, we eventually got word through the grapevine).  After a massive amount of confusion and following airport people all throughout the airport with no instruction on what was happening, we were put on a bus and sent to a hotel for the night.  When we asked when our flight would be the next day, we were told the hotel would somehow know.  We went to sleep that night without a clue when to get up for our mystery flight.  Good thing for 4am calls from front desk.   (This photo is the hotel dinner we could not have been more grateful to eat that night, complete with our favorite tomato and egg dish.)

One of the rare opportunities I get to see the sunrise.

Finally in South Korea!  Clean streets with all sorts of cute shops.

The first hostel we attempted to stay in (love the old and new architecture...), but was completely booked.  Instead, they offered us a room we could rent (literally a room... a wood floor (heated!), a sink, and a bathroom) that was ALMOST stayed in (we luckily later found a nearby hostel with enough room).

Get your fake tag fix here.

Quite a unique and delicious dinner.  The pork was first steamed in a bamboo shoot and then grilled on individual table grills.  They then surrounded us with a million different side dishes to fill our lettuce wraps with (kimchi? you better believe it).

Free bottle of coke because we are American (from our sweet waiter).

One of many cute little shops and restaurants.
