The sensory atmosphere of our local restaurants.
It's way more than a meal... it's a completely new experience every time.
The strange and inquisitive looks from the locals, the cool open "air" breeze, the perpetual game of charades in attempt to order food, the smell of fresh bread wafting from a neighboring stall, the locals buying fresh produce and meat all around you and stopping to watch you eat, the honking cars driving by, our "conversations" with the locals consisting of them speaking in Chinese and us speaking in English but neither understanding a thing that is going on (we have improved though!)...
...the handmade meat pancake things...
...the super spicy, tofu filled soup to warm you right up...
...and last, but not least, the fully intact half pig being butchered in the neighboring stall.
